Welcoming Message
by the Chief Executive Officer
of Malaysian Technology Development Corporation

Selamat Datang!
It is with much pleasure, we welcome you to the "The 24th Annual Conference of Asian Science Park Association (ASPA) 2021", the first ASPA Conference to be held Virtually.

It certainly is an interesting period we live in at the moment. The pandemic COVID-19 has disrupted the way the whole world operates and communicate. In response to the onslaught of this global unseen enemy, the world has seen many new inventions catalysed, and accelerated in their adoption. One thing that is made very clear is that no one country can weather this alone. Countries must now combine their strengths together. Competitors must now collaborate.

Continuing from the success of the 23rd ASPA Conference 2019, this year we will bring together renowned speakers and experts to share with us not just their knowledge and experiences, but also to open up avenues for stronger collaborations and wider network.

We would have loved to have you here in Kuala Lumpur, enjoying the promise of the tropical sun and occasional cooling showers of rain, but alas the conference must be conducted online. But because it is done online, we look forward to seeing higher number of participations from more countries. There is no more that distance between us, as we bring the 24th ASPA Annual Conference in 2021 and Kuala Lumpur right into your offices and homes, wherever you are.

We welcome you and your participation and hope that you would take benefit greatly from what we have lined up for you in this conference.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I warmly welcome you to the ASPA 2021 hosted virtually from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Dato' Norhalim Yunus
Conference Chair, ASPA 2021
